ACROQ’s board of directors

The board of directors (BOD) of the Association des Comités de Résidents Officielle du Québec (ACROQ) ensures the effective, responsible and transparent governance of our organization. Our directors work every day to promote the well-treatment of seniors and ensure that the voices of private seniors’ residence (PSR) residents are heard by PSR managers and government authorities (municipal, provincial, and federal).

Raoul Charbonneau

President

Mr. Raoul Charbonneau has worked in education, primarily at the college level. As assistant to the academic services department at Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe, he contributed to the development of various study programs, including Early Childhood Education Techniques and Animal Health Technology. He was also involved in municipal politics, serving as a town councillor and later as mayor of the municipality of Saint-Barnabé-Sud. This involvement led him to play a leading role in the Régie intermunicipale des déchets de la région maskoutaine from its very beginning. He served as its president for several years, overseeing the creation of a selective waste collection program serving more than 35,000 households. Mr. Charbonneau founded ACROQ on August 24, 2020, with the help of three other residents of Les Terrasses de la Fonderie in Drummondville. Since then, ACROQ has been promoting the creation of well-treatment, in all its forms, in our PSRs.
