Living in a private seniors’ residence (PSR)
The living environment of a private seniors’ residence can meet the needs and aspirations of many seniors. It’s a safe environment that helps maintain their independence while reducing isolation through available services and shared spaces that encourage meaningful connections and lasting friendships.
Understanding residence life committees (RLCs)
The residence life committee (RLC) is a win-win tool for mutual collaboration between PSR residents, their caregivers, and private seniors’ residence (PSR) managers, aimed at promoting well-treatment in this living environment. It allows residents and caregivers to express themselves anonymously, without fear of reprisal, to identify areas for improvement and help create a living environment that continuously adapts to their needs.
